Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how all information collected or submitted on OvenClub’s website and our apps for Android and iPhone, and any other platforms.

Personal data we collect

We only collect personal information that you provide for direct contact only when submitting a help request. You may choose to enter an optional email address and a password or a phone number. Email addresses or phone numbers are only used for logging in, password resets and responding to communication you initiate or notifications you request, or to allow log in. We do not send promotional emails or text messages.

You may also choose not to provide an email address and have your data stored anonymously.

We store data about the recipes you liked, the recipes you bake, any notes or files you submit to the application directly. They will be stored until you delete them.

We also collect statistics about recipes and actions taken in the application, but we do not link these actions to your personal account and are anonimized whenever necessary. We use the data to inform which recipes are more interesting to our users as a collective, so we can produce new content that is relevant.

We are required to store a device token to send notifications, in case you enable them. We never use notifications for marketing.

When you visit the site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. This data is stored in temporary memory or in log files.

Additionally, we use a service called Netlify for the website and they have access to some information about your devices, such as IP addresses. Please refer to Netlify’s Privacy Policy for more detals.

Analytics

OvenClub may collect and aggregates anonymous usage statistics, such as percentage of users that use a recipe, or how many people read a specific article to improve the content of the app and the website.

No personal data is used to target OvenClub’s ads or affiliate links. Affiliate links are explicitly denominated and may have their own terms of service. We only collect the number of total views and total taps to these links.

We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site–you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Finally, we may also collect Device information for improving the application using a service called Fabric. Please refer to Fabric’s Privacy Policy for more information on data they collect and their usage.

Data usage

We use the data we collect to operate and improve the website, applications and customer support. We do not share personal information with outside parties. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistis with outside parties, such as how many people use the app or taps our affiliate links.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

Security

We use a service called Google Firebase to store all the data you submit, including email, phone numbers and password hashes. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for more details.

Accessing information

You may access, change or delete your account from OvenClub’s iOS or Android app. Deleted information may be kept in backups and backup policies are bound to Google Firebase’s policy.

Information for European Union Customers

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

We do not knowingly provide the Services to, and will not knowingly collect the personal information from anyone under the age of consent.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
